Jones and the 2013 stallion (Mr Playinstylish x Lean N Stylish x Docs Stylish Oak) earned their third futurity championship of the year with a victory in the Colorado Reined Cowhorse Association (CRCA) Futurity Open. The event was held Oct. 19-23 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castle Rock, Colorado.

Stylish Whizard and Jones, of Allerton, Iowa, topped the standings with a 430 (142/141.5/146.5).

“He’s unbelievably minded – doesn’t act like a stud or train like a stud,” Jones said. “He’s just super quiet with a ton of ability.”

The stallion, bred by Kit and Charlie Moncrief, previously won this year’s South Dakota Reined Cow Horse Association Rode to Reno Stallion Stakes Futurity Open and the North Central Working Western Futurity Open in Madison, Wisconsin.

His CRCA Futurity Open win was worth $2,668 for owner Pam Wolfe.

The Futurity Open Reserve Championship went to CD Madonna. Matt Koch rode the mare (CD Olena x Pepto Madonna x Peptoboonsmal) to a 426.5 (141/141/144.5). They earned $1,886 for owners Wagonhound Land & Livestock.
