It’s that time of year again – time to nominate your favorite National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Professional. Each year, the NRHA awards and honors five individuals who exemplify excellence in the reining community. The five categories for NRHA Professional of the Year are: NRHA Professional Horseman of the Year; NRHA Professional Horsewoman of the Year; NRHA Professional Non Pro Coach of the Year; NRHA Professional Youth Coach of the Year; and NRHA Professional Up-And-Coming Trainer of the Year.
Professionals will be chosen based on the candidates’ mastery of and contributions to:
- Furthering promotions of both NRHA Professionals and the NRHA
- Setting an example of integrity and sincerity within the industry and to the public
- Insuring the welfare of the reining horse
Nominations are limited to one nomination form per NRHA member per category. All nominators must be a current NRHA members, and the nominee must be an NRHA Professional in 2016 for final review by the Professionals Committee.
If you have an outstanding trainer you would like to nominate, visit NRHA.com/professionals and fill out the Professional of the Year nomination form. The deadline to nominate an NRHA Professional is Nov. 1. Winners will be recognized at the NRHA Winter Meeting in February.
