Final Champions Crowned in Idaho

Classic/Challenge Amateur

Emily Clark’s strategy to have a clean run in the Classic/Challenge Amateur finals paid off in a big way when she marked a 220 on her Roberta Howe-bred gelding LHR Who Dat Cat. The pair earned the Championship title and a check of $2,446.

The winning money brought LHR Who Dat Cat (High Brow Cat x Rey Jay Play x Dual Rey) to an Equi-Stat record of $35,716 and pushed Clark’s lifetime earnings to $65,099.

“He is just a total clown and wants to get his job done,” Clark said of the gelding. “He doesn’t take anything too seriously.”

Holly Jones and her gelding Metallic Smoke (Metallic Cat x Lil Smokin Dynamite x Dynamite Badger) narrowly missed the win when they earned a 219, but they still took home the Reserve title and $1,800.
