Final Champions Crowned in Idaho

AlexanderwebAlexander Lee & Redd MapleAlthough Sept. 3 was the last day of the Idaho Cutting Horse Association (ICHA) Futurity and Aged Event, the day was packed full with six Non-Pro and Amateur finals.

In the Futurity Non-Pro, only five horse and rider combinations were vying for the Championship, but the competition was still tough. Alexander Lee and his mare Redd Maple marked a 209 as the first draw, and the score proved impossible to pass. 

The duo clinched the Championship and $2,415, and Lee was thrilled with his mare and the outcome of the finals.

“There are just not enough good things to say about this horse,” Lee said.

Hes Smart Metal carried owner Robert Schutte to a 205 for the Reserve Championship, worth $1,500.
