After Equi-Stat Elite $3 Million Rider Gary Gonsalves topped the Classic/Challenge Open finals on Reyzin The Cash (Dual Rey x Spookys Cash x Miss N Cash) at the 2016 National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) Summer Spectacular, he said, “He is just an athlete, and everything comes natural.”

His comment about the stallion continued to ring true in Idaho when the pair marked a smoking 227 and grasped the Championship, worth $10,179. And although the pair has been on fire, the title didn’t come easy. They finished on top by a narrow margin.

Eventual Reserve Champions, Cats Smart Ricochet (Smooth As A Cat x Play Like A Ricochet x Smart Lil Ricochet) and Mike Giannini, barely missed the win when they marked a 226.5, and they collected $8,000 for their efforts.
