Stuart Bozeman Clinches Classic/Challenge Non-Pro at Summer Spectacular

stuartwebStuart Bozeman & Checkers Live Oak The first full week of the National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) Summer Spectacular just wrapped up, but the competition is still in full swing. The Classic/Challenge Non-Pro brought 23 horse and rider combinations to the show pen, and only one came out with the Championship.

As the third draw, Stuart Bozeman and Dale Stallkamp-bred Checkers Live Oak (Im Countin Checks x Cats Live Oak x High Brow Cat) marked a 221, which ultimately earned them the Championship and $17,199.

“She [Checkers Live Oak] has gotten better and better since I’ve showed her, and I couldn’t ask for more,” Bozeman said.

Cody Hedlund and homebred stallion Meteles Cat (Metallic Cat x Teles Lies x Lenas Telesis) claimed the Reserve Championship and $15,736 after marking a 218.5 from the second set.
