McNutt, who the day before had won the Arabian Level 4 Open Championship with Zee Gunslinger, took home the Championship, Reserve Championship and third place with the three horses she brought into the Half-Arabian Level 4 Open finals.

TR Por Quixote (AR) (Ray Gay Quixote x Portena [AR] x JK Amadeus [AR]) was the Champion with his score of 213.5. McNutt has ridden several half-siblings to the 4-year-old chestnut and likes his bloodlines.

“They’ve been nice horses. They’re gritty; they want to be workhorses. He’s a good boy,” she said.

For the Championship, TR Por Quixote picked up $8,958 for owner Joe Betten, of Grand Haven, Michigan.

McNutt rode TR Flash Flood to the Reserve Championship after they marked a 210. Abbey Weiss, of Paradise Valley, Arizona, owns TR Flash Flood and rode him earlier that evening to mark a 203.5 and win the Half-Arabian Level 4 Non-Pro, collecting $1,000. McNutt and the mare (What It Takes [AR] x Tidal Wave Jackie x Tidal Wave Jack) picked up an additional $6,718.

Coming in third place with McNutt after scoring a 209.5 was Cotton McNutt’s Wheres Wanda RA (AR), who is by Gunner and out of Minding Ps And Qs (AR) (by Hesa Zee [AR]). Wheres Wanda RA received $4,479 for the finish.

“It’s been a long time coming on this horse,” Kent said of his win. “Last year he was a little green, but this year he’s really doing well.”

Kent’s brother, Preston Kent, who won the Arabian Level 1 Open Championship and Level 4 Open Reserve Championship with SH Hired Gun the night before, rode SH Rockin Reminic (Reminics Bullseye x Noble Duchess [AR] x Vaguely Noble [AR]) to tie for the Reserve Championship after marking a 203.5. SH Rockin Reminic earned $2,132 for owner Kade Spencer. Also scoring a 203.5 were Halfspoon Of Pepto and Tye McDaniel, who acquired $2,132 for owner Crystal McNutt.
