The first week of the Breeder’s Invitational in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is wrapping up, but the competition is still in full swing. On May 19, four finals took place at the show, and competitors vying for top honors really brought what they had to the table.
First up was the Classic/Challenge Non-Pro finals, and Cade Shepard and Some Kinda Highbrow showed off their killer partnership and earned the Championship. Shepard and the gelding (High Brow CD x Some Kinda Memories x Smart Little Lena) marked a blazing 227 and bested the division by an incredible 8.5 points.
Shepard wasn’t done at that point. He went on to mark a 218.5 on Twistful Thinking (One Time Pepto x Some Kinda Twister x Freckles Fancy Twist) as the last draw and also claimed the Reserve Championship.
Altogether Shepard garnered hefty paychecks totaling $29,600 on his family-owned mounts, which pushed his lifetime earnings to an impressive $370,601.
