NRHA European Futurity Kicks Off in Germany

“The last time I was here was five years ago, and since I’ve only had this horse in training for two months, I’m twice as happy,” he said.

For Dalla Pozza, it was just as sweet.

“Ettore Baldazzi, the owner, purchased this horse as a yearling and I’ve had him since. I broke and trained him myself. Our goal was that of making it to the Level 3 and 2 finals, we actually also are in the Level 4 finals, so we couldn’t be any happier.”

In the Level 1 Open, French NRHA Professional Christelle Graffeuil slid Laurent Garrido’s Customized Whizcrome to the highest score, a 211. The stallion, by Custom Black Crome and out of Roxy Whiz Pine by Jacs Little Pine, was bred by David Roux and nominated by Graffeuil.

“I am really lucky to have the opportunity to ride this great horse and I’m really grateful that Laurent chose to trust me with him,” Christelle said. “It’s my first time showing here so making the finals in the Levels 3, 2 and 1 is super exciting.”

The NRHA European Futurity is open to 4-year-old horses nominated to the NRHA European Nomination Program and is run in a qualifying go and finals. During the event, a full-slate of NRHA approved classes is also offered. Watch the livestream at and follow along with the live scores at For more information on the NRHA European Futurity, visit
