Dualin Stargun Tops NRCHA Stakes Open Herd Work

In the first leg of finals competition, Justin Lawrence, of Alzada, Montana, led the Open and Intermediate Open divisions with a 223 aboard Dualin Stargun (Dual Rey x Amanda Stargun x Playgun), owned by the Dualin Stargun Partners.

The Limited Open leader was Tucker Clark, riding A Smooth Pepto (Smooth As A Cat x Pepto In Pieces x Peptoboonsmal) to a 213.5 for Rogers Heaven Sent Ranch.

Solvang, California-based Shannon McCarty topped the herd work in the Stakes Non-Pro riding Chicaroos Cat (Hick Chicaroo x Kat Five x High Brow Cat) to a 218. In the Intermediate Non-Pro, Debby Sanguinetti piloted Chelano (Dual Rey x Starlight Playgirl x Grays Starlight) to a 216.5 for the lead. And the Novice Non-Pro high score in the herd work, a 214, belonged to Cutter McLaughlin and Sioux Wii (A Shiner Named Sioux x What A Time We Had x A Chic In Time).
