Cade Shepard Dominates Classic Non-Pro at NCHA Super Stakes

cadeCade Shepard & Some Kinda HighbrowThe Classic Non-Pro finals at the Lucas Oil National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) Super Stakes brought a competitive group, but the youngest of the bunch ended up on top.

Fourteen-year-old Cade Shepard came in as the second draw on Some Kinda Highbrow (High Brow CD x Some Kinda Memories x Smart Little Lena), bred by Shrontz Family Limited Partners and owned Austin and Stacy Shepard. They marked a blazing 222 for the Championship, worth $24,883.

He wasn’t done yet. He came in five draws later on Twistful Thinking (One Time Pepto x Some Kinda Twister x Freckles Fancy Twist) and marked a 220 for the Co-Reserve Championship.

“It feels really great to win here,” Shepard said.

Allanah Chalmers and Smooth Very Smooth (Smooth As A Cat x One Time Soon x Smart Little Lena) also earned a 220 to share the Co-Reserve Championship.
