The National Reining Horse Youth Association (NRHyA) recently announced its innovative Buy A Pro program is officially up and running for the second year. The Buy A Pro program is an online auction that connects riders with one-on-one lessons from NRHA Professionals, and is the primary fundraising mechanism for NRHyA activities and scholarships.
Currently, 26 trainers across the country have generously donated two training sessions and one stall for the winning bidder. Training sessions will be held at the NRHA Professional’s facility. It is the buyer’s responsibility to pay any fees associated with the execution of the contract including travel, lodging/RV hookups, health papers, etc.
The bidding deadline is March 1 at 12:00 p.m. (CST). Bidders may bid on and win as many training packages as they would like. An NRHA membership is not required to bid.
“This program is a fantastic gateway for people to experience working with our industry’s best professionals,” said NRHA Director of Events and Affiliates Shianne Megel. “Of course, it’s great that it also supports our youth program, as well. The Buy A Pro program’s innovative format makes it a win-win for everyone involved.”
Once the auction is closed, winning bidders will be notified and payment is due in the office within 10 days. Training packages purchased through the NRHA Buy a Pro Program are not transferrable outside of the winning bidder’s immediate family and may not be resold. There are no refunds. Winning bidders have up to a year to use the training sessions, and it is the buyer’s responsibility to contact the NRHA Professional to set up a session time.
