Many non-pro reiners are always on the lookout for their next National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Futurity horse.

Equi-Stat Elite $4 Million Rider Andrea Fappani saw Legend Slides Wright at the 2014 NRHA/Markel Insurance Futurity Prospect Sale and convinced his wife, non-pro Tish Fappani, to buy the horse. One year later, Tish and Legend Slides Wright finished their Level 4 Non-Pro finals run with a 220.5, earning $37,500 as the NRHA Futurity Non-Pro Champions.

Legend Slides Wright is a 2012 stallion bred by Cam Essick, of Clements, California. Steve Simon consigned the horse to the 2013 NRHA/Markel Insurance Marketplace Sale, where Steve Worman bought the horse for $4,900. Worman started and trained the colt, pointing him for the 2014 NRHA/Markel Insurance Futurity Prospect Sale, where the Fappanis tagged him for $31,000.

Prior to the NRHA Futurity, Legend Slides Wright and Tish won the Level 4 Non-Pro at the High Roller Reining Classic and tied for the Level 4 Non-Pro Championship at the California Reining Challenge.

The dam of Custom Crome is Another Greyhound, who was a finalist in the NRHA Futurity Open.
