The Southwest Reining Horse Association (SWRHA) Futurity’s popularity continues to grow as its show entries, added money and purse increase. This year’s $131,125-added Futurity begins Tuesday, Oct. 20, and concludes Sunday, Oct. 25.

Electric Code, a 2005 stallion by Jacs Electric Spark and out of leading SWRHA Futurity dam Hot Coded Candy (by The Hot Express), is the No. 1 Futurity horse (all divisions) with $33,100 won in Ardmore. Jared Leclair, of Gainesville, Texas, rode Electric Code to win the 2008 SWRHA Level 4 Open Futurity. They also won the 2008 NRHA Level 3 Open Futurity and finished third in the Level 4 Open finals.
