In mid-September, Shesouttayourleague was ridden by Casey Deary to a score of 227.5 to win the High Roller Reining Classic Tamarack Ranch Futurity Level 4 Open in Las Vegas. The filly was bred by Arcese Quarter Horses USA, of Weatherford, Texas, and is owned by Robert Curtis, of Fort Worth, Texas.

Shesouttayourleague is sired by Walla Walla Whiz, who earned $187,820 as a multiple aged event finalist including a win in the 2006 Tulsa Reining Classic Futurity Open. He became an NRHA Million Dollar Sire in August.

Walla Walla Whiz is sired by Topsail Whiz, the National Reining Horse Association’s (NRHA) all-time leading sire of money winners with more than $10.9 million in get earnings. Topsail Whiz is sired by Topsail Cody, by Joe Cody – all three of these stallions are in the NRHA Hall of Fame. Topsail Whiz and Topsail Cody are both in the top 10 on the Equi-Stat Reining Maternal Grandsires chart, coming in at No. 4 and No. 6, respectively.

The dam of Walla Walla Whiz is Shiney Walla Wanda, an NRHA money-earner of $9,508. Her sire Shining Spark, an Equi-Stat Elite $7 Million Sire and NRHA Hall of Fame inductee, is sired by Genuine Doc and out of the NRHA Hall of Fame mare Diamonds Sparkle. Shining Spark is the No. 2 all-time leading maternal grandsire. Shiney Walla Wanda is the dam of multiple aged event finalists including Wallawalla Bangbang, winner of the 2011 All American Quarter Horse Congress Futurity Non-Pro.

Shiney Walla Wanda is out of Walla Walla Wanda (Taris Catalyst x Miss Walla Cactus x Wallaby), an earner of $39,506 and the winner of the 1992 Southwest Futurity Open. She is the dam of multiple aged event finalists including Wallawalla Moonshine, the 1999 California Challenge 3-Year-Old Non-Pro Champion.

The dam of Shesouttayourleague is Wimpys Little Chic, the NRHA’s all-time leading money earner at $515,856. She won the NRHA Futurity Open, NRBC Derby Open and NRHA Derby Open. Wimpys Little Chic is a daughter of Equi-Stat Elite $7 Million Sire Wimpys Little Step, who is by Nu Check To Cash. Both of those stallions are NRHA Hall of Fame members. Nu Chex To Cash is an Equi-Stat Elite $2 Million Sire by Nu Cash, by Colonel Freckles. The first foal out of Wimpys Little Chic is ARC Gunnabeabigstar (by Gunnatrashya), the 2014 NRHA Futurity Open Co-Champion.

The dam of Wimpys Little Chic is NRHA Hall of Famer Collena Chic Olena, by NRHA Hall of Fame stallion and Equi-Stat Elite $5 Million Sire Smart Chic Olena. Smart Chic Olena is the No. 3 all-time leading maternal grandsire of reining horses.
Collena Chic Olena was an NRHA Futurity Non-Pro finalist with career earnings of $7,610. She produced just three foals before her death due to colic in 2006. The other two foals out of this mare are Collenas Finest Taffy, an NRHA Futurity Open Reserve Champion, and Collenas Little Wimp, The Tradition Reining Futurity Levels 3 and 2 Open Champion.

Collena Chic Olena is out of Collena Freckles, who is a cutting money-earner by Colonel Freckles. This gives Wimpys Little Chic a breeding pattern of 4 X 3 to Colonel Freckles. Collena Freckles is the dam of One Right Chic, a full sister to Collena Chic Olena. One Right Chic is the dam of Wimpys Little Colonel, an earner of $108,172 sired by Wimpys Little Step. This makes Wimpys Little Colonel a full brother in blood to Wimpys Little Chic.

The dam of Collena Freckles was Sayo O Lena, by Doc O’Lena. Sayo O Lena also produced Miss Sayo Freckles, a full sister to Collena Freckles. Miss Sayo Freckles is the dam of reining earners of $122,850. Her offspring include Im So Tari, the 1997 NRHA Futurity Open Reserve Champion. Sayo O Lena was out of Sayo, a mare bred by Louis Brooks, a two-time Rodeo Cowboy Association All-Around Cowboy in 1943-44 who became a rancher and Quarter Horse breeder. His foundation mare was Toots B (Beggar Boy [TB] x Baldy Girl x Oklahoma Star P-6), a mare bred by Ronald Mason, who owned Oklahoma Star P-6.

Sayo was sired by Heleo, who is by Leo and out of Brooks’ Tzena (Starway x Toots B). Sayo’s dam was Dovey, by Sweetwater’s Leo, by Leo. Sweetwater’s Leo was out of Toots B. The dam of Dovey was Brooks’ Missy, by Air Cobra. Brooks’ Missy was out of Miss Butch (Starway x Toots B). This gives Sayo a breeding pattern of 3 X 3 X 4 to Toots B.

All told, Shesouttayourleague’s pedigree contains 10 NRHA Hall of Fame horses, six NRHA Million Dollar Sires and four of the top 10 leading maternal grandsires. This is all built on the foundation mare Sayo, who truly puts this mare in a league of her own.
