Andrea Fappani, of Scottsdale, Arizona, has hit a new milestone. During 2014, he garnered $366,815, according to Equi-Stat, enhancing his total earnings to $3,981,452, moving him closer to the $4 million mark. Fappani only needed to earn $18,548 in 2015 to reach that standing, which he did, and then some.
Fappani has been on fire this year in the reining arena. He started 2015 off with the Cactus Reining Classic Level 4 Open Championship aboard SG Frozen Enterprize (Frozen Sailor x RS Rose SJ x SJ Enterprise), garnering a $12,958 paycheck. That left him just $5,590 short of reaching the $4 million mark.
Never to be counted out, though, Fappani also piloted Electric Genes (Jacs Electric Spark x Taris Designer Genes x Mr Boomerjac) to tie for the Level 4 Open Reserve title and rode Gunna Sassya (Colonels Smoking Gun [Gunner] x Shining N Sassy x Shining Spark) to tie for eighth in the Level 4 Open at the event held March 4-8 in Scottsdale, Arizona. In total, he banked $22,395 at the Cactus Reining Classic achieving his next career milestone with $3,847 to spare, according to Equi-Stat, and was featured on the April 15 cover of Quarter Horse News.
Now, after attending the National Reining Breeders Classic (NRBC), where the newly crowned Equi-Stat Elite $4 Million Rider took home the NRBC Level 4 Open Championship, his earnings continue to reach new heights, with his record reflecting more than $4,096,150 in earnings as of mid-May. Fappani proceeds to make his mark within the reining industry and is on the fast track to hitting the next milestone.
