Veterinarians Discuss Serum Amlyoid A

On the fringes of American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) Convention 2014, 11 of the world’s top equine veterinarians gathered to share their experiences of Serum Amlyoid A (SAA), the new biomarker for infection. These veterinarians share a common belief a belief that SAA has helped change the way in which they practice.

The StableLab equine blood test detects and measures Serum Amyloid A (SAA), a major inflammatory response protein that specifically responds to inflammation caused by infection. This hand-held, convenient equine blood test delivers lab-accurate results at the horse’s side within minutes. Empowered with this definitive information regarding the presence of systemic disease, veterinarians rely on StableLab as a critical tool for introducing appropriate treatment and monitoring response to treatment.

Professor Fairfield Bain highlighted that “We may not know all of the answers about [SAA], but it seems like it’s changing how almost everybody is making a decision.”

This roundtable discussion was raw, unscripted and full of real experiences expressed by those who have integrated Serum Amlyoid A into their practices. The outcome was compelling. Watch the roundtable meeting:
