Judge Orders Brunzell’s Horses Remain In Protective Custody

In an Oct. 9 motions hearing where Sherri Brunzell, of Black Forest, Colo., petitioned the court to return 10 horses and four llamas that were seized by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office on Sept. 19., the judge ruled that the animals will remain in protective custody. Brunzell is facing misdemeanor charges for animal cruelty after allegedly neglecting the care of her horses and llamas.
