Records Set in Pro Horse Services May Online Auction

ellusiveclueHighest-seller Ellusive ClueProfessional Horses Services, LLC, recently announced the results of its May Online Auction, which closed on May 21. The company has been holding online auctions since December 2012. Pro Horse Services owner Mike Jennings said, “Our new high seller brought $30,100. We registered 276 bidders and had 71,855 page views for the online catalog by the end of bidding.”

The highest-seller, Ellusive Clue, is a 3-year-old daughter of Mr Elusive who sold in foal to JMK Bocephus for $30,100. The filly was from the JMK Quarter Horses consignment and sold to Virginia Webber of Kansas.

The second-highest seller was Ill Be Willy Good, a 2-year-old daughter of Winnies Willy. Consigned by Claire Binkowski, she sold for $18,000 to Melissa Herr in Virginia, and will train with Drew Van Hook.

The third-highest seller at $13,500 was Shesa Shade Wild, a 4-year-old mare by Obviously Wild. She was consigned by Jennifer Sheriff, sold to Darlene Cox of Florida and will be under the guidance of Kory Merrill.

“We were pleased to feature the first phase of the Partial Dispersal of JMK Quarter Horses, the AQHA Leading Breeder of halter register of merit horses,” said Pro Horse Services’ Stephanie Jennings. “James Kifer is always a joy to work with and offered a very nice group of horses to buyers.”

All 21 of the horses consigned by JMK sold to new owners. The group sold for a total of $107,700 and an average of $5,128. Kifer is reducing the number of horses in his program in order to spend more time with his family and the LAR Mana Chidren’s Home in Brazil, which he sponsors. JMK Quarter Horses will offer another group of top halter horses in the June Online auction.

Ill Be Willy Good, a western pleasure futurity prospect, led the rest of the entries in the auction. Also consigned by Binkowski, the daughter of  Winnies Willy was going well under saddle and sold for $18,000 to Herr.

The balance of the horses in the auction offered a mix of performance and halter horses. Those horses sold for a gross of $97,000 for an average of $4,730.

In addition to Pro Horse Services’ monthly online auctions, two special auctions are planned in July – the Broodmare Affaire and the Halter Prospect Sale. The Broodmare Affaire is for performance and halter mares with show records, produce records or championship pedigrees. The bidding will open on July 21 and close on July 23. The Halter Prospect Sale is for weanling, yearling and 2-year-old halter horses. The bidding will open on July 21 and close on July 23.
