Rust, of Gordon, Texas, and the horse he and his wife, Shannon, own headed into this year with $74,600 earned as a team, according to Equi-Stat. Rust, the son of National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) Hall of Fame rider Robert Rust and his wife, Connie, headed into this year with $1,006,882 in career earnings.

Chad Bushaw, of Poolville, Texas, and 6-year-old gelding Bet On A Cat (High Brow Cat x Bet On Houston x Peptoboonsmal) finished as Reserve Non-Pro and Gelding division champions with a 221 to earn more than $12,000 at their first 2014 show. Bet On A Cat headed into his final limited-age season with $243,852 already earned. Bushaw and Bet On A Cat were the 2012 NCHA Summer Spectacular Derby Non-Pro Champions.

The Bonanza Cutting concludes Saturday with four Amateur event finals.
