Quarter Horse News Returns as Ariat Tulsa Reining Classic Stallion Auction Sponsor

tulsaQuarter Horse News recently announced it will continue its title sponsorship of the 2013 Quarter Horse News Tulsa Reining Classic Stallion Service Auction. The Ariat Tulsa Reining Classic, scheduled for Aug. 27 – Sept. 1, has become an important stop along the fall reining show trail.

Besides providing a lucrative venue for futurity horses, the decade-old Tulsa Reining Classic continues to offer innovative classes and exhibitor-oriented scheduling. The event’s success is reflected in its 700 plus entries and a total payout surpassing $288,294.

According to Colleen McQuay, Co-Founder of the Global Reining Sport Group which produces the event, this is due in large part to the support of great sponsors, like Quarter Horse News. McQuay explains, “Quarter Horse News came on board as the title sponsor of our Quarter Horse News Tulsa Reining Classic Stallion Service Auction in 2012, and we’re thrilled to continue our relationship with QHN in 2013. Quarter Horse News is a valuable tool in the reining world. To have the support of Publisher Patty Tiberg and the Quarter Horse News team is key to the success of the ATRC .”

Tiberg was equally positive about the relationship between Quarter Horse News and the Ariat Tulsa Reining Classic Stallion Auction which began in 2011. “We are glad to support this Top 10 reining event and to be involved with the stallion owners who are the backbone of the industry.”

The online stallion auction begins on August 1 and concludes on August 31. Bidders may bid both online at www.tulsareining.com and in-person at the Quarter Horse News Tulsa Reining Classic Stallion Auction display at the show.

McQuay added, “We appreciate the support of stallion owners who choose to be a part of this auction. Because of their participation, we try to keep the stallions in the forefront at the show.”

Stallions are heavily promoted during the event as well as prior to and after the show and stallion owners who donate a breeding receive sponsorship benefits at the event. Thanks to Quarter Horse News, each stallion is entered to win a stallion promotion package custom-designed to contain both print and electronic advertising.

A leading source for news in the western performance world, Quarter Horse News is a staple for any serious reining participant or fan for event coverage, profiles and in-depth reporting on issues that impact the industry.
