On Sept. 7, Wagonhound Land and Livestock will be holding a production sale, with a preview to be held the day before. Approximately 100 head of broke ranch geldings, broodmares, 2-year-olds, yearlings and weanling American Quarter Horses will be offered at the ranch in Douglas, Wyo.
In addition, approximately 100 head of bred Red Angus commercial heifers will be offered. These 100 top females will be chosen from the ranch’s foundation 2,500-head herd.
The Four Sixes Ranch, an American Quarter Horse (AQHA) Best Remuda Award winner, will offer around 10 head of American Quarter Horses at the sale as a guest consignor.
“After several years of building our remuda with some of the top bloodlines in the equine industry and campaigning our homebreds, we are ready to offer some of the top horses from our remuda in our first production sale,” Wagonhound Land and Livestock owner Art Nicholas said. “We are excited to see the success that these individuals will have in the future and look forward to seeing them carry on the Wagonhound legacy.”
All horse and cattle buyers will be eligible for a drawing to win one of three Tim Cox prints. As an added bonus for the top 10 buyers, their names will be added in a drawing to win a custom Cary Schwarz saddle. The top 10 buyers will be determined by total sales amount on all horses purchased.
