Sale manager Susie Reed said, “We couldn’t be happier with these totals, and they certainly reflect the higher end of performance horses that we work so hard to attract. More important, we feel an upswing in the economy, and the market coming back.”High seller Cat N Gail (LTE $56,240, producer of $123,000), a 1998 mare (High Brow Cat x Abigail Fletch x Jae Bar Fletch), was consigned by Sunrise Ranch and sold to Dr. David Hartmann for $50,000. The second-highest seller, Starlights Sonny (LTE $10,718), a 2000 stallion (Grays Starlight x Meradas Sunshine x Freckles Merada), went to William Randle for $35,000. Hillis Aiken had the winning bid of $30,000 for Kelle Earnheart’s consignment, A Spoonful Short (LTE $28,880), a 2008 mare (Hes A Peptospoonful x Shorty Lou Lena x Shorty Lena).
