Team Italy members AB Captain Badger and Stefano Angelucci
Following the selection criteria set by the Italian Equestrian Sports Federation (FISE) task force, the five horse and rider combinations that will represent Team Italy in the upcoming 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, Sept. 25-Oct. 10, has been determined. The FISE Reining Department and FISE president, Andrea Paulgross, are proud to announce the team that will be vying for prestigious FEI medals at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.
Mario Sbrana has been named Chef D’Equipe. Sbrana has been coaching Team Italy since the very first FEI-sanctioned reining competition, and they’ve had quite a bit of success including Team Bronze medals at the 2002 and 2006 Games held in Spain and Germany respectively. They also were the Team Gold Medalists at the FEI World Reining Championships in 2008.
