NRHA's only Three Million Dollar Rider and five-time Futurity Champion Shawn Flarida is excited to announce the release of his new "Personal Trainer" online training video series. Flarida and his team have been hard at work on a Virtual Clinic Series, which allows everyone to participate in his clinics, no matter where you live.
"Since the clinics will be held on the web, there is no limit to the number of riders I can work with each month," Flarida said. "Over the years, I have always been disappointed that we have had to turn folks away from my clinics. My wife, Michele, and I put our heads together and figured the best way to share knowledge today is via the Internet and we have been working to bring this program to life."
Flarida's "Personal Training Series" mirrors the clinics he has done over the years, but without the time limit of a normal clinic, he will be able to delve a little deeper in to each maneuver and spend more time helping you work through any problems. Those who have attended his clinics in the past have come to appreciate his easy manner, logical approach to training issues and great sense of humor. This program will allow everyone with internet access to particpate in a monthly training session and improve their reining manuevers and scores.
The first episode features the spin and includes details about starting the prospect, teaching the manuever and maintaining the finished horse. Shawn works with a 2-year-old prospect as well as NRHA's all-time leading money earner, Wimpys Little Chic. Future episodes will include circles, rundowns and stops, lead changes and rollbacks.
