Rey Jays Award defied the difficult ground to win the $10,000 added Bill Horn Derby held at the Dixie Reining Horse Association (DRHA) Summer Sliding Classic, August 12-15, Perry, Ga., at the Georgia National Fairgrounds, Perry, Ga.

Ridden by Peter De Freitas for Double Run Farm, Leland, N.C., the 6-year-old bay gelding came in at a gallop, ran past center and made the judges sit up and take notice with the best first stop of the evening on “Friday the Thirteenth!”
