According to the Miami Herald, the two men accused of butchering stolen horses in Florida went to court on Sept. 6. The Herald reported, "Santiago Cabrera, 20, and Luis Cordero, 19, will be in court for a pre-trial hearing. Both are charged with multiple counts of armed burglary, grand theft, killing a registered breedhorse and possession of burglary tools. The men could face life in prison. Equine rights activists plan to be at the courthouse, too."
