LETTER FROM JEFF HOOPER TO NCHA MEMBERS:

February 1, 2012

Dear NCHA Members,

I wanted to let you know that on March 16th of this year, I will be leaving the NCHA as your Executive Director to pursue other professional opportunities that have become available to me. It is with mixed emotions that I leave working for the NCHA, because my 11 ½ years here as Executive Director have been very enjoyable and rewarding for me personally. I truly feel that the many accomplishments we have achieved together have helped to advance the sport of cutting to new heights, and brought about even more new opportunities for the Association in the future.

When I started with the NCHA back in August of 2000, I was a newcomer to cutting, but I knew that “cutters” were great people with strong character who loved their horses and shared a passion for the sport. I also knew that the NCHA was an organization with a tremendous history that also had even greater upside potential for growth and expansion. I have been fortunate to have been involved with numerous great NCHA Presidents (including current NCHA President Keith Deaville), Executive Committee members, Directors, and members from all over the country and the world as we have worked together with a common goal, to grow our association and to make cutting bigger and better. All in all, I would say we have had great success. And along the way, I have met so many wonderful people that I am proud to now call friends, and who I will have as friends for the rest of my life.

Thanks to all of you for what you have done for me and my family. I’m proud to be a Lifetime Member of the NCHA, and whenever and however I can help the Association in the future, that’s what I plan to do.

With Appreciation and Respect,

Jeff Hooper
