img_nrcha_logoThe National Reined Cow Horse Association Board of Directors met Friday morning, May 27, to discuss the upcoming NRCHA Derby, June 14-19 at the Paso Robles Event Center in Paso Robles, California, because of questions arising from the outbreak Equine Herpes Myeloencephalopathy.


The Paso Robles Events Center has informed the NRCHA that the facility has been disinfected and that no horses have been on the property since May 8. However, the concern of many entries has prompted the following action:

The draw for the limited-age event has been changed from May 31 to June 3.

The entry deadline for Derby Horse Show Classes is still a post-mark of May 31.

All entries, including those in the Horse Show classes, have the option of getting a full refund of entry fees if they withdraw by 6 p.m. CST on June 2, the day before the Derby draw. All scratches must be made in writing by using the form below. You can also download and print a form by visiting the NRCHA website.
