APHA Adds Tobiano Incentive in Select Western Performance Classes

First it was the Chrome Cash, and now it’s the Tobiano Incentive Bonus.

The American Paint Horse Association (APHA) announced a new offering to all tobiano exhibitors at the 2021 APHA World Show – the Tobiano Incentive Bonus. With the bonus, all tobianos entered in the following reining, ranch, and cutting classes are automatically eligible for a $2,000 incentive. Proposed and sponsored by Peter & Missy Benker and Jay Clark, this incentive gives exhibitors of these distinctly marked horses more opportunities to cash in.

ELIGIBILITY
All Tobiano entries in the listed classes are automatically eligible for the incentive. No additional entry fee is required besides the class entry fee.

TABULATION

  • $2,000 bonus awarded to the overall highest-scoring entry in each discipline group. Winner takes all.
    • Highest-scoring overall in each discipline group – all final placing scores from all classes will be combined to determine the winner.
  • Tie-Breakers:
    • Highest placing points earned overall in each group – all final placing points from all classes will be combined to determine the winner.
    • If tie is still not broken, the money will be split between the tied entries.
